New Linky Follower

As you have probably heard over the last few days, the Google Friend Connect (GFC) is ending on 29th February for non-Google blog platforms like WordPress and it also seems that it will eventually be phased out completely by Google+.

 It has been on the National news about how Google will be phasing it out and will not be providing a service to move our followers, even saying the new Google+ will not be what the GFC was. GFC was never really so much an “I follow this blog” tool as it was an attempt at the whole Facebook “friend, like” concept.

It seems that followers won't be automatically moved over, so in preparation for the inevitable I have set up Linky Followers so you can still follow me, should you want to at the top of my blog.

Something Different

Afternoon crafters! I can't believe it's Friday already!  Where has the week gone? Back to work on Monday for me :O(

So I have been working on something a little different for me and something I have wanted to do for ages, but never seem to get the time - a mini chipboard album using the product samples I received from Michelle for her website Mishelflo Creative Crafting.  My cupboard is full of these board books and scrapbook albums, so it was nice for me to finally take one out of it's wrapper and would love to know what you think of my first attempt! Beware it's picture heavy! LOL.  The album consists of 12 pages, but I haven't shown them all.

My Wedding Plans!

Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Firstly I would like to welcome all my new followers, it's lovely to have you here and I hope you find some enjoyment and inspiration from my blog.  I can't believe that I am only 5 away from 300!!! May have to offer a little candy to celebrate.

So lots of my lovely friends have been asking to see what I have been up to in relation to my wedding plans ...... so be prepared this is a long post and quite picture heavy.

Only 5 weeks to go until the big day now and I am really excited.  Just a few more things to organise, like the hiring of the suits, the rings (we are off to The Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham on Saturday) and the cake to be ordered and then just the finishing touches like the table plan and name cards! Oh and last but not least the slow and long agonising process of losing weight to get into my dress!!

As you know I have been busy of late making things for the day ..... I have already shown the invites in a previous post, so here are the favours for my guests - square ones for the ladies and rectangular for the men.

These are my bargain centrepieces as I had decided against fresh flowers due to the cost.  So after a visit to The Range, bought the antique cream and glass candle holders, a snip at £3.50 and just added roses for effect and then some bargain LED blue and white battery operate fairy lights for £2.99.

These are the favour bags for the children, filled with blue chocolate hearts, just need to make the personalised tags.

And here is my guest book, bought a plain one and decorated it appropriately.

And last but not least a sneaky peak at my dress ........ that's all you are getting LOL.

The White Favour Box ........

......... has turned into a little gift box!

This is my second sample for Michelle's website Mishelfo Creative Crafting and with some of my leftover papers from the K & Company Sera Fera Scrap booking kit I decided to decorate a plain white favour box which are leftovers from my wedding makes.  I covered the lid in the paper and added ribbon and a brad for decoration.  The bottom of the box is coloured with a matching Promarker pen which has given it a marbled effect feel.

Tilda With Teddy

Morning - well it's half term, so a week off for me with plenty of crafting planned as from Wednesday morning Megs is with her Dad and Danielle is back at her Mums until they go back to school, so will have some "me" time.

Exciting News!

Evening everyone - hope you are keeping warm and snug.  We have snow forecast again overnight!

Well I have some news to share ..... I have been chosen as a Design Team Member for Michelle's On-line Website Mishelflo Creative Crafting which is really exciting as me and 5 other fabulous crafters will get to use products from her shop to creative all sorts of fabulous creations which will then be showcased against the products to give her customers inspiration and ideas of how the items can be used.
