My 2017 Christmas Card Tally

31 May 2010

Anniversary Wishes

Evening all, well what a busy day I've had today. Mark bought me a new bike yesterday, so this morning we went off to Draycote Water and I tested it out - haven't ridden a bike for years, but like they say you never forget how to do it! LOL. Had a great time, but my legs ache, lack of exercise I feel! Can't wait to go again .... am on a bit of a health regime, desperately need to lose some weight, so this form of exercise should help out alot! This was followed by a shopping spree and then a visit to my parents.

Its their 47th Anniversary tomorrow, so I made them this card. They love owls, so my Kanban kit was just the ticket! I also used my new Kanban 8" x 8" gatefold cards which are just fab and such good quality!

Here's the inside, with a computer generated greeting ........

And another pic of it partly open!

I hope they like it! Anyway hope you've all enjoyed your May Day holiday - lucky me has the week off (half term). See you soon!

For this card I used:-

  • Promarkers
  • Kaisercraft Flowers
  • Brads & Card from Stash

  • Kanban Greeting Stamp and Gemstones

Let me know what you think, your comments are always appreciated.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge 29 - GDT Card

Good Morning folks and welcome to another fortnightly challenge at Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge 29 sees a sketch by Sem, who is sadly leaving the design team. This week's sponsor is Ger at Cullen Crafts and she is offering one lucky winner the chance of one of the new Gorjuss Girl Kits which are absolutely adorable and I should know as I already own some of these and they are fab!

I am also entering this card into the Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Week 53 which is their first anniversary and the Theme is "Anything Goes".

The challenge ends at midnight on Saturday 12th June, so take a look at the DT's inspirational cards and join in with the fun and your chance to win that fabulous prize!

Pink & Brown

Afternoon all, well what a right miserable day it is today - nothing but rain this morning, just a hint of sunshine at the moment, but I'm sure that won't last! Such a shame too as my friend has got married today and we're off to the wedding reception tonight, so I hope she didn't get too wet!

My card today is for a couple of challenges, the first a new challenge blog Hidden Treasures Challenge 1 Theme: Pink and Brown and Just Cute Bears Challenge 18 Theme: Sketch by Bev which is also a DT call to which I am entering.

I actually think these colours look fab together, something I would not usually combine.

For this card I used:-

  • LOTV Top Chef Stamp
  • Promarkers
  • Papers from Stash
  • American Crafts Ribbon
  • DCWV Cardstock
  • Hobbycraft Pearls

I'm really pleased with the end result and hope you like it too! Hope the weather is better where you are today!

Its Only Words ........

Morning all and welcome to a lovely Sunny Friday. Its also my last day at school today as I break up for half term and don't go back until Tuesday 8th June, so a nice break! Hopefully we will have some nice weather to be able to go out and about too!

My card today is for the Die Cut Dreams Challenge 49 Theme: Words Only - No Stamped Images.

So I decided to use one of my new kits from Kanban, its the Colour Textile Collection, frames and toppers in royal blue and gold for a luxurious finish and in case you can't read the sentiment, it says "Loving family, mine to treasure, better than wealth of any measure".

I've had to take the photo at this angle because of the shiny embossed mirri card that I've used and have finished the card off with some blue organza ribbon and gemstones. Easy as that! I love the Kanban kits as they are such good quality, but only tend to use them for very special occasions! LOL.

WOYW Wednesday - 49

Morning peeps, well its Wednesday and although I follow this every week have never entered, mainly because I didn't really have a zoned workspace, but now my craft room is finished I can finally enter for the first time!

As I only moved into it a week ago its still fairly tidy, but am currently working on my DT card for a challenge that will go live on Sunday, so hope to get this finished today as they need it my Friday!

As you can see a basket full of all my new promarkers, but still have many more to purchase yet! LOL, a new Pink Gem Designs stamp waiting to be used and scraps of paper and card from previous days projects! Oh and lots more challenges I need to enter!

On the other side of the desk we have more scraps of papers and my ribbon stash, so clearly still relatively tidy, but I'm sure this will change when we get to next week!

I hope you have enjoyed having a peek on my desk and look forward to seeing what's on your desk!? Have a great day!

The Long Awaited Craft Room!

Well as promised, here are some piccies of my new craft room. Mark decided he had had enough of my stash being strewn everywhere around the house and me not having a proper place to sit and craft so he has given up the back end of our garage to house me! LOL and I have to say he as usual has done an amazing job in coverting it and tranforming it into a little room for moi!

Lots of storage space means I have all my crafty items organised and readily to hand!

And french doors onto the patio (well when we've finished the garden there will be a patio LOL!) which will be lovely on those rare Sunny days we get!

I did take a load more photos but won't bore you to death with them - I'm really pleased with the end result and look forward to spending many happy hours in there crafting and creating! Now you know why I haven't been cardmaking for a week and a half as have been painting and decorating the room!

Have a great day!
