My Fave 5 Cards for 2010

Good afternoon blogger friends - well it's finally New Year's Eve - we have nothing planned, just a quiet one at home and I have to say I am looking forward to a brand new year - so roll on 2011!

The fabulous Debby over at A Scrap Journey is asking you to post your favourite five cards for the year - I mean how hard is this to choose!?
No. 1 - I love this card - the colours, the LOTV image and the layout

No. 2 - The hessian makes you want to reach out and touch it!

No. 3 - The cute image from LOTV is just perfect for this christening card - I love the soft pink and gingham paper

No. 4 - this is a recent card for an Anniversary - love the silver and green

No. 5 - I made this for a friend's Birthday - love using red, white & black together - just striking with the Bugaboo image

So thats it - my fave five!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for following and supporting my blog and look forward to another fun packed year of blogging in 2011.  I hope you have a fantastic evening in whatever you are up to and would like to wish you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year.

Lots of Cards!

Afternoon people - well what a busy few days I've had - all presents bought, wrapped and delivered, all cards made and delivered and the food shopping is done!  Phew!  And all because of the weather - we were supposed to have a heavy snowfall overnight, but had nothing and just a few snow flurries this morning - thankfully as I've really had enough of the snow and the cold weather now.

Well I would just like to say a BIG "thank you" to my new followers, its great to have you on board and I hope you like what you see!

Now I have loads of cards to show today, not for any challenges as I just haven't had the time to be honest, so here goes:-

This one is for my Daughter Megan

This one is for my Step Daughter Danielle

This one is for my Son Matthew

This is a gift card I made for my Son Matt

This one is for my Sister and her Partner

This one is for my Mum & Dad (Gatefold Card)

And this one is for my Partner Mark

I have decided next year not to leave this lot until the last minute as I am not happy with some of them.

Right off to get the bins in (at least they have been collected today!) and get some dinner - afterall I need to feed this cold that doesn't seem to want to leave my presence LOL.  Have a good day and keep warm and safe wherever you are.

Sad Farewell

Good morning crafters on this freezing cold day!  Well Friday was my last day at work and I have now finished until the New Year - woo hoo!!!!  Its been a busy few weeks, I feel like I've been on catch up since having the flu and now on my 4th week, still not fully recovered - really fed up with it now and I haven't been able to blog much either, just don't seem to have enough hours in my day!

One of the ladies that I work with left on Friday as she has a new job at a secondary school as Head First Aider, she will really be missed and I made her this card.

Card Ingredients:-
  • DSB Nurse Suzie
  • Papers & Flower from Stash
  • Promarkers
  • PM Gems
  • Computer Generated Greeting
She loved it.  We also participated in 2 secret santas, had jacket potatoes delivered in and had a real good last day also followed by some good news that I will now be doing mornings rather than afternoons, plus 2 full days until the afternoon post is filled, so I am very happy about that!

I need to get out today, but the roads are so icy and dangerous I may not even contemplate it - bloomin weather!

Thanks for popping in.

Simply Amazing!

Morning everyone, no card today, just an update from last night when I went to see Simply Red at the NIA for their Farewell Tour.  I have been to everyone of Mick's concerts and he just keeps getting better and last night was no exception - WOW absolutely amazing!

So now I will bore you all with a selection of piccies LOL!  Some are not the best quality I'm afraid.

Macy Gray was the support act and I have to say, although I'm not a fan, she was very good.

This is the crowd at the NIA (National Indoor Arena) Birmingham:

Here's Mick and the band on stage:

And here he is again, a little closer this time:

This was Mick on his guitar doing Holding Back The Years: Just Brilliant!

And waving goodbye to the fans at the end:

I took loads of pics which will be very memorable.  I had the most amazing time and it was worth every penny. Can you tell I'm a big fan!? LOL.

Thanks for popping in.

Christmas Has Arrived!

Morning peeps!  Well I have managed to get one of my trees up in the house, myself and Megs put the one in the lounge up last night and here's the finished result!  We are finally starting to get festive.

Its a big 6ft tall and very wide tree, so struggled to find a space for it - but we got it sorted eventually LOL.  Now just need to put the one up in the Conservatory, together with the outside lights and we are there - that's mine and Mark's little job for the weekend!

I'm Back!

Well good morning peeps, its been an age (well over a week) since I have blogged and unfortunately that was down to me getting a very bad case of flu, sinusitis and sickness which just knocked me out for a whole week.  I have to say, I'm glad I got it now rather than over Christmas, but its certainly a virus I don't wish to get again in a hurry!  I've never felt so ill in my life.  I'm still stuffed up, but feel so much better than I did, so its good to be back.  I have to apologise, as although I did try and visit everyone's blogs, I didn't post any comments as just wasn't up to it.

Anyways, managed to get in the craft room on Sunday (had no choice as so behind) to make my Sister a Birthday card as today is her Birthday.  It's really not how I had hoped for it to turn out, but with being ill my mojo and enthusiasm was not quite there!

Card Ingredients:-
  • Scrapbook Sisters Girl With Presents Digi Stamp
  • Promarkers
  • Iced Stickles
  • Kanban Paper
  • Card & Flowers from Stash
  • Anita's Peeloffs
  • PM Gems
Right, off to catch up ..... have never seen so much washing and ironing in my life, the house looks like a bomb blast and as for Christmas ...... whats that!?  Need to organise myself pronto to make up with a week I have lost!

Thanks for stopping by today, as always your comments are greatly appreciated.
