Thanks for the comment on my blog and to answer your question, the reason why Ditsworthy was abandoned is that like many former warrens on the moor they are not needed and the logistics of getting modern services out there along a track is out of the question nowadays. Besides which the Dartmoor Parks Authority would never allow such a thing!! There is only a leat for a water supply and a shed where there was an outside privy!!! Eeewwww! Jill x
