My 2017 Christmas Card Tally

8 April 2013

Russian Dolls

Evening everyone - hope you are all OK?  I can't believe how fast the Easter holidays are going, there are just not enough hours in the day for me to do everything I need to do.

I did manage to make a quick card over the weekend though.  After sorting out my craft room I came across loads of unused Kanban kits - bet you've all got some of those!

So I decided to make a card using one of them, as I am determined to use them - it's not the most inspiring card, but it will be another for my stock.

Card Ingredients:

Kanban Tea Party Dolls Kit
Wild Rose Studio Gingham Papers
Kanban Cardstock
Gems from NEC Stash
Brad from Stash

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Great to see you this evening.

Hugs

  23. Claire this is really cute and I love the paper you chose for paper piecing the Russian dolls. It was a nice change to see them in pastels since they are usually in red and black. Your easy card kit is inspirational after all. It caught my eye on MIM. Hugs, Linda

  25. Hello, Claire! I enjoyed your blog full of interesting creations!!! Because I am from Russia, Moscow I was happy to see Russian dolls:) we call them Matrioshki, from the name Matrona, it was very popular in Russia before revolution in 1917. In Greece a woman, who has many children call " matrona" too, and these dolls have several dolls inside, like little children:)
Excuse for such long reaction, and I am your new reader!!!
    My best wishes from Russia!
    Ann.
