I loved working with this one and here's my take on it: I made this card for a friend who lives at the back of me, who two year's ago had a house fire and a few weeks back after demolition and a new build have returned back home.

CANDY WINNER

Afternoon crafters - it's a little bit chilly here today in the Midlands, in fact it has been rather chilly for the last few days. We had no heating at school on Thursday and Friday as the pump broke and as it's so old they have had problems trying to replace it and it's going to be very costly indeed. Well this morning, have had a text to say that the school will be closed tomorrow and will receive an update tomorrow afternoon about Tuesday. So after dancing around the room for a couple of minutes will now be looking forward to a crafty day tomorrow instead of working - can you tell I am very happy LOL!

I can't believe I have been blogging for two years!

Evening everyone.

Hope you have all had a great weekend, my day today started off nicely as I have lost another 1 1/4 lbs in weight, so that is 5lb in total now - but after 3 weeks, it's not a great amount, but still every little helps to get me in that wedding dress!

It seems a while since I have blogged a card that is not for a DT.

After hours on end making wedding stationery and favour boxes and starting to decorate them, I felt the need to make something that wasn't wedding or DT related, so managed to get into the craft room and make Mark's Dad's Birthday card. His Birthday isn't until mid February, but as they are out in Spain at the moment, I need to get it off in the post as soon as possible.

A New Beginning

Afternoon all - it seems a little while since I have posted, but that's because I am back to work and have been busy wedding planning and trying to get ahead with my wedding stationery.

There are lot's of challenges running at the moment entitled "A New Beginning" and as I will be getting married at the end of March and it will be the start of married life, I thought I would enter my wedding invitation into those challenges.

My Day at The NEC

Evening everyone .... well it was a trip to Hobbycrafts at the NEC today and I met up with my lovely blogging friend Debs - it was great to meet up with her after so long as we are in touch regularly via our blogs and by email and she is just as lovely in person and a true friend, we had a fabulous day.

It was extremely busy today, but we managed to get around all the exhibitors and I also met up with Sharon at Willow Designs (I'm on her DT) who is absolutely lovely!

We also visited the Create & Craft Demo Stand to rest our tired feet LOL and watched the wonderful Nigel, Leonie and Wendy (Kanban) - they were very entertaining and had us in bits. Debs won the card Wendy made in the demonstration and I took a photo of them all together, Debs was over the moon!

Firstly I am a huge Moto GP fan and it is with sadness that the sport today lost an upcoming star in the making ..... R.I.P. Marco Simoncelli who sadly was involved in a crash at Sepang circuit in Malaysia.

Well I have just watched the two programmes featuring the Walter & Winnie Does Christmas CD which was launched on Create and Craft today. I had to record both of the programmes as I was at work.

Sharon was just brilliant and you would have never thought it was her first time on TV - she was brilliant and couldn't have had a better host with her, Dean was just fab.

All the DT samples were just amazing and here are some of my creations that were featured.

Knocking On Your Door

Evening everyone, for once you haven't got a scheduled post LOL! It seems ages since I have blogged properly, the weeks are just flying by and time is limited - I have to say I can't wait for half term to arrive next Thursday and have a week to craft and blog to my hearts content.

Work has been so busy and when not working I am catching up on housework and also my wedding plans seem to be taking over too, especially as the date has now moved forward from May to March, so all I can think about at the moment is invites and wedding stationery LOL!

A Commissioned Card

Evening peeps - well it's a very wet and windy evening here in the Midlands, hope it's been better where you are today.

Firstly I would like to wish my Step Daughter Danielle a very Happy 15th Birthday. She was round yesterday evening so she opened her cards and gifts a day earlier and we had a Birthday cake too! Unfortunately it's not a very good picture as we are in the process of decorating our lounge and everything looks really dark and depressing in there at the moment!

Now onto my card which I was asked to make by one of my friends who lives in the same road for a lady who she works with who is celebrating her 65th Birthday. It's an 8" x 8" card as it needed to be big enough to have 30 people writing inside it! I also decorated the inside to compliment the front (not shown).

Good Morning, it was my first week back at work and I have to say going full time, I am absolutely shattered! However I do get Friday afternoons off and I made the most of it this week to book the date for my wedding! That's right I have finally got a date woo hoo - Saturday 12 May 2012! I am so excited, it will be mine and Mark's second time, but after a 4 year long engagement and 7 years together, we both felt it was time to tie the knot.

My Daughter Meg's started her new Secondary School yesterday, so I thought I would pop on a couple of pics as I didn't get chance last night.

Can't believe how grown up she looks.

She came home yesterday absolutely full of it, telling me all about her day and how much she loved it - let's hope it lasts and the novelty doesn't wear off! LOL.

Evening everyone. I haven't been around for a few days as I have been frantically trying to get my housework, washing and ironing up to date before I go back to work on Tuesday full time! I have to say I'm not looking forward to it. Also been finishing my bedroom and sorting my Daughter out as she starts Secondary School on Tuesday too! So it's been a busy few days, but I spent the afternoon in the craft room to catch up on some advance DT work and much needed cards.

I would like to welcome my new followers and thank you for choosing to follow me - I hope you enjoy your visits and like what you see. I can't believe I am up to 190 which is amazing and I think I will have to offer a little candy when and if I reach 200!

I also need to apologise in advance of my return to work if I don't come and visit you as often as my time may be at a premium, but I will promise to catch up and visit you all when I can.

Christmas Club - Sylvie's Challenge

Evening everyone - very late in blogland tonight as have had a busy day finishing off our newly decorated bedroom - papered the feature wall today and put up the new light fittings - just a few more bits and pieces to do, like put the radiator on the wall and go to Ikea to buy some new drawers and then it's all done. I have to say i am very pleased with how it's looking.

Anyway onto today's card which is for the Christmas Club where a bunch of us gals get together and make some Christmas cards. It was Sylvie's turn to host the last challenge and she chose mistletoe. Now I struggled with this one as obviously it's not a popular image choice is it ..... however flicking through my digi's came across the perfect image.
